A one-of-a-kind campus

We believe that every university must have a unique environment, which fosters learning, growth, and allows students to explore their creative ideas and develop their potential.

This is why the team at Academic City has carefully designed and built a state-of-the-art campus located at Haatso in the beautiful city of Accra.

With classrooms designed to encourage student-engagement, an engineering workshop equipped with the latest technology, a library, a residential facility, and an innovative space called the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TEC), which provides students with the tools and knowledge to bring their ideas to life, our campus promotes effective learning among our students.

Smaller class sizes and dedicated faculty

Class size makes a huge difference in the delivery of quality education. We believe that the smaller the class size, the more attention a student can receive. Thus, our classrooms are designed to stimulate healthy academic discussions between students and faculty.

Likewise, with a ratio of four students to one teacher, each student benefits from one-on-one discussions and tuition from faculty whenever the need arises.

Our faculty is sourced from some of the best talents in the world and remains dedicated in the quest to ensure that our students enjoy being in an academic environment, which caters to their different learning styles and abilities.

Learning by doing

Activity-based learning is central to our ethos at Academic City as we believe that students are better prepared to apply the concepts they learn through hands-on activities.

Our leading, mandatory course, Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is designed to give all students the opportunity to discover and learn innovative and creative ways of thinking right from their first semester at university.

Students are exposed to the concepts of empathetic reasoning to create meaningful solutions to problems, and are encouraged to prototype and test their ideas.

Our curricula aim to incorporate semester-long projects that combine concepts learned, enabling us to provide a more unified learning experience for our students.
