Facebook Protects Adults Threatening a Child

Our Libertarians Concerned on Facebook page posted links to news reports about those parents and how they forced the closing of a school as police had to intervene to protect the child these people were threatening.

Some of those parents don’t like being the subject of news reports so they have been complaining to Facebook. We are now told that reposting news reports about those threats “violates community standards” at Facebook and all our pages are closed to us for 30 days. We did not post threats. We did not endorse threats. Quite the opposite, we condemned these threats. And that is what Facebook found offensive. If only they were so “diligent” when the parents were posting the actual threats, but they weren’t and that’s why the hate went viral.

Facebook is protecting the people who made the threats. They are the only ones who truly benefit from hiding what they said about a young girl and the threats they issued against her. Those are the people Facebook is protecting, and only those people.
