Consequences

I have been in the center of many things in my short 17 years of life. Recently however, it has become more troublesome. Between school, scouts, work, and chores, my life is very busy. One of my “favorite” things to do when I get into a sticky situation where multiple things need to get done, is to entirely drop a task and forget about it. This is a bad habit that I am working to break, but in the meantime, I will have a few laughs at myself. A perfect example of this is these blog posts. I got caught up with other homework, chores, a campout for scouts, and work, and I completely forgot to do them. Everything was going fine for me until I looked at my homework folder, and noticed a single piece of paper with “Gatsby Online Blog” printed neatly on top. All I could think in my head was “huh… welp.. I’m screwed.” So that puts me here.. At 2 in the morning, trying my best to stay awake, on my third cup of coffee, and trying to get these posts to 300 words at least, while trying not to sacrifice quality, despite being a few days late. The consequences for my actions are that I will probably get only a few hours of sleep tonight and be miserable tomorrow. (I am really gonna need coffee tomorrow..) On top of these I also have other homework that I will still have to finish later. If I could summarize my experience with this it would be: do NOT forget to do your work. Keep a detailed list, and stay on top of you work, whether it be homework, paperwork, grading your students blog posts, etcetera. If I say that I have not learned from this, than I am lying.
