I shed my clothes. They
cling to the sand
with all my doubts,
worries, and demands.
My skin breathes
as my heart sighs in relief.
In the white water
I disappear,
and I leave the world
behind me.
My love, come with me.
Meet me
where the lips
of the sky and the ocean
finally touch.
Together we can leap
onto the rising sun
and have a bite of the
heavens’ cotton candy
as you bathe in the coolness
of the breeze
and as I melt
in your sweet breath.
