Living Epistles

There is a responsibility that comes with being a Jesus follower. This responsibility is to reflect the values of Christ in how we live, to the glory of God and for the benefit of others.

Our opening scripture I believe is a reminder to prioritize and delve deeper in our relationship with God to be able to carry His presence around effortlessly.

The focus here is not to prove a certain level of spirituality to anyone, rather, it is simply a yearning to be like Christ in every facet of our lives for the good of others. We must seek to get a good grasp on our hearts, and the endless possibilities of living in obedience to God’s word, even if it does not make you look “cool” in the eyes of men.

As living epistles, we can practically be examples by seeking the good of others always, interceding for people instead of complaining about their flaws, and having a sole purpose to live in excellence with eternity in mind. Amidst the trend of secularism in this warped world, we must stand and live for truth always. The beauty of truth is that it stands out in spite of contrary ideas and distractions.

The life of Jesus remains a perfect example for us to live by. His obedience continually gives life to humanity. If we were not capable of being examples, God won’t warn us of that impossibility. Instead of giving excuses stemming from a false sense of inadequacy. We do not need to be famous as Christians before considering to be influential living epistles. Let’s start where we are; simply desiring to wallow in the Father’s love and leaving lasting imprints that will ripple generationally.
