FarFarOut Might Be the Most Distant Object in the Solar System

What You See Is What You Get?

First impressions can be made in a span of a couple seconds, sometimes even before a word is even exchanged. This ultimately means that an individual can be labeled as lazy because of their laxed wardrobe, maybe even stuck up because of an expensive taste. Is this fair or is this just a way that society has built up to be? One can certainly make the argument for both.

In the Latinx community, it is a known fact that we get judged or labeled on an everyday basis. Whether it would be because of our color, facial, characteristics or maybe even the clothes we wear. Being labeled as the provocative Latina or the ghetto Latino is a flaw that is present in society.

Once the judgment is made of the physicality of people, comes the judgment of the language spoken. All from the diction to the accents, we are judged and labeled for ALL OF IT. Assumptions are made and facial gestures are present and what is left is often times feelings of embarrassment and maybe even a sense of shame. And although I cannot speak for the entire population, I know I am speaking for a portion of it when it comes to this topic. Amongst the whispers and stares of the world around us, there comes a point in time when the skin becomes thick. Once this happens, those snarls and quiet judgments become a blur. It is almost at a point where they are so common, it does not even matter if they are present or not.

After this thick skin is produced, there is a second natured gesture that we develop. In essence, it is the ability to ignore any unwanted energy that it produced for our aura. As a population that is a target for this judgment (not to say that we are the only population to fall victim to this type of treatment), it is crucial to overcome those specific judgments in the world. We need to use our voices, knowledge and most importantly spread these tools that are within reach. Among these tools, the top priority would be to genuinely express ourselves by any means possible. Even if the language may not be the type that is considered superior in comparison to the next. As society develops, there is always room for improvement in all aspects, including individual progress where it is learned to communicate and voice our dormant words. An individual will never know the capabilities that are held within the power of their words until they are used and spread throughout the world entirely.
